# Atlas Commons

> A public, agent-native knowledge commons: authoritative U.S. open data turned into source-backed, machine-citable
> answers across 9 atlases (25 datasets). Built for the machines that will cite it — every
> figure carries a named public source and a four-status warrant, and you can re-fetch the source yourself. CC0.

Read this first — the agent contract:
- **The LLM is never the authority.** Every consequential figure resolves to a named public source (CMS, FDA, FDIC,
  CFPB, NOAA, the Dept. of Education, the federal courts, DOL). You do not take the commons' word — you re-fetch the source.
- **Four-status warrant.** Every claim is labeled RECORDED (an occurred fact), MODELED (an authority's index/expected
  value), DERIVED (a disclosed in-house calculation), or INTERPRETATION (a framing). Weight each accordingly.
- **No fabrication, honest residue.** Where data is withheld, a sample, or a known limit, the page and the
